The new plan creates a welcoming covered drop-off entrance with a much enlarged narthex space that leads directly into the new renovated sanctuary. Like many churches, First Presbyterian was finding the original design of their chancel area to be fixed and very limiting to programing. The renovated sanctuary includes a new sloping floor, expanded chancel area with movable furnishings, chancel storage and sacristy. In addition a new sound system and video projection system will be integrated into the architecture of the existing space.
